On August 2, CT United Academy held its second annual Signing Day at the Macron USA headquarters in Bridgeport, officially welcoming players from the U15, U16, and U19 teams. The event brought together families, staff, and supporters to celebrate the start of the new season. As part of their official induction into the club, players received their training and match day kits, posed for official headshots, and took photos with their families and teams.
This year, 61 players earned their place in the Academy out of a competitive pool of 445 trialists—a testament to the growing interest and rising standards of the program. MLS NEXT Pro President Charles Altchek, CT United Sporting Director Denis Hamlett, and co-owners André and Michelle Swanston were on hand to welcome the players and speak with families. Academy Director Nunzio Zavettieri and members of the club’s technical staff were also in attendance, underscoring the strong support system in place for CT United’s rising talent and the club’s long-term commitment to player development in Connecticut.
